Leaves Berlin for Singapore after Nazi persecution of Jews

During World War II, he was transferred to Australia and served in the military.

He met and married actress June Brown in Australia. Around this time, he became a freelance photographer and was published in PLAYBOY magazines, etc.

Contracted with British VOGUE magazine and moved to London
